RB458 consciously disconnected from the Meklar Combine. Their independent identity and isolation from the Combine’s servers was an intentional secretive test, but when the test did not go as planned, the Overseer ordered all test subjects to be deconstructed. RB458 escaped, fearing death as no Meklar had before. They work on a contract basis in order to afford parts and upkeep on their frame.
