Ship weapon modifiers

Modifiers can be applied to nearly all weapon types, increasing their performance at a substantial cost in production and size.

Heavy Mount beam weapons are large-platform versions that causes more of the normal amount of damage.
Enveloping +100% +100% Multiplies damage to shields Enveloping weapons surround the target on impact, dealing massive damage to shields.

+25% accuracy
Can target and destroy missiles and torpedoes
Cannot be combined with other modifiers
Point Defense weapons are smaller, more precise versions of a weapon that fire automatically on missiles and fighter craft within range of the ship.
Continuous Fire +50% +50% -10% starting accuracy, increases in increments of 5% to a maximum 50% bonus Energy Cannons modified for continuous fire are increasingly more precise the longer they fire on the same target.
Auto-Fire +50% +50% -20% accuracy
+50% fire rate
Auto-Fire weapons have greatly reduced cool down at the expense of reduced accuracy.
Missiles Fast +50% +50% +25% travel speed Fast warheads travel faster than their unmodified counterparts, covering the distance to the target more quickly.
MIRV +100% +100% Multiplies damage on impact Warheads separate from each projectile moments before impact, multiplying the damage done.
Heavy Armour +25% +25% +100% armor Heavily armored warheads are sturdier, allowing them to better survive PD fire and reach their target.
ECCM +25% +25% +50% resistance to jamming Electronic Counter-Counter Measures reduce the chances of a missiles being diverted by enemy jamming devices.
Torpedoes Semi-Guided +50% +50% Home-in on target if within 8 units. Semi-Guided torpedoes have limited homing capabilities, allowing them to steer into targets.
Overloaded +100% +100% +100% damage
-50% fire rate
Overloaded torpedoes have payloads that exceed the engineering safety limits, drastically increasing their damage.
Enveloping +100% +100% Multiplies damage to shields Enveloping weapons surround the target on impact, dealing massive damage to shields.
Fast +50% +50% +25% travel speed Fast warheads travel faster than their unmodified counterparts, covering the distance to the target more quickly.
